Abstract

PhD Doctor, Professor of YSC Karine Azat Jaghatspan -yan. - “Komitas and his unspoken precepts”.The creative and scientific activity of Komitas goes beyondnarrow national GOCERN MEN TAL tasks. Studying andidentifying related parties and distinctive collected themmelodies of different peoples, the composer thus paving theway conscious development of musical culture of every nation.In this, perhaps, historical value Komitas scientist andcitizen. Events in 1915 tragically impact on the fate of hisarchive, many of his manuscripts have been lost. Without atrace disappeared major treatise on hazah (Armenianneumes). Hardly it managed to recover some of his manuscripts. Today it is 14 volumes of writings Komitas publishedby the Academy of Sciences of Armenia (editor R. A. Atayanand G. Sh. Geodakyan). Traditions Komitas continued awhole galaxy of prominent representatives of the Armeniancomposer school.Although the music of Komitas is known from othercultures more gently (not the last role played in this brutallyinterrupted life composer, which not everyone wanted toloudly proclaim), it nevertheless gradually gaining strengththrough the recognition of the work of artists and enthusiastsdifferent countries, attracting the attention of a growingnumber of admirers. Music Komitas now penetrated into thesphere of cinematography, for example, has repeatedly voicedat the prestigious Hollywood films, one of the initiators ofwhat was known producer and singer Peter Gabriel. In fact,Komitas managed to thrust his labor and highly spiritualcreativity to overcome a century tragic, the fate of his people,to give him a chance at life and prosperity  

Author Biography

Karine Azat Jhagatspanyan , Yerevan State Conservatory

musicologist, theorist, music critic, PhD (Moscow, 2001),honored Artist of Armenia (2013), YSC professor (1995). She graduated from the theoretical composition departureof YSC (1966). She finished a postgraduate study in the All-Union Research Institute of Art (1977-1980 Moscow). In1966-1993 years she had been an responsible secretary and chairman of the Arts Department of ABCN. Since 1975-1983 freelance correspondent of the Moscow All-Union magazine "Soviet Music" (now the "Academy of Music"). From1977 -1989 - had been a chairman of the monthly seminar "Problems of modern music" at SC of Armenia (Head -Goshovsky V.A). In 1983-1991 and 1996 -2013 years. deputy. head of musicological section of the Union of Composersand Musicologists of Armenia. From 1998 - 2013 had been a member of the UCIM RA. Since 2001 had been amember of the Academic Council of Yerevan State Conservatory and since 2003 and also of the Academic Council ofthe Institute of Arts NAS RA. In 2002, 2003, 2007 had been a member of the Commission for the award for theemployees of literature and art. She had been the author of the Armenian first monographs on national musical rhythm,and also of the numerous articles (nearly 80) dedicated to the various issues of music art and composer creations,which were published in national and international media and scientific publications (nearly 100). Books: "Rhythm ofthe national speech and music" Yer., 1986, "On the trail of the rhythms of folk music" Yer., 1999, "From the life andworks of Armenian composers" Yer., 2012. She had been an organizer of articles about Armenia, published in Moscowmagazine "Academy of Music" (N 1, 2005). She had been a member of various national and international seminars,conferences, symposia and congresses.
