Abstract
Conductor, applicant of NAS RA Narine Zinik Meliqyan. - “Discoverers of jazz in the USSR at the beginning of XX century. Atmosphere and Influence on the creation jazz musicians' future”. The article presents the origins of jazz and the first jazz performers at the beginning of XX century, the cultural atmosphere, the conditions on which the first jazz orchestras were established in Moscow, Yerevan. As well in the article the leaders of the first jazz bands are presented. The leaders of the first jazz orchestras are represented not only from the Soviet Union but also from Armenian jazz artists such as Artemi Ayvazyan, Constantine Orbelyan and others.
