Abstract

Scientific worker of House- museum after Alexander Spendiaryan, musicologist Hasmik Sargis Hambaryan. - ““Selected arrangements” of A. Spendiaryan are already available for pianists”. In this article the author presents and analyzes the music book "A. Spendiaryan: selected arrangements for piano" published in 2018, by the initiative of the composer's house-museum. The presentation took place on December 1st, at the House-museum. The collection contains 10 various compositions of A. Spendiaryan vocal-chamber, symphonic, and dances from the opera "Almast" . Author of the piano arrangements and complier of the collection is professor of YSC, Willy Sarkisyan. The specialist editor is a PhD of Art sciences, composer and pianist, Arthur Avanesov. The content of the music book is represented in 3 languages: Armenian, Russian, and English. In this article the principles and details of arrangements are analyzed from point of view of music language and music characters, and in the context of tradition and innovation as well.   

Author Biography

Hasmik Sahgis Hambaryan , Alexander Spendiaryan House-museum

(born 31.10.1984, Yerevan), musicologist, journalist. In 2008 graduated from the faculty of musicology of the YSC (class of professor S. Amatuni). From 2008 to 2009 was the assistant of the TV program "Meghedi" at the TV company "Hayrenik". From 2009 to 2012 worked at the publishing house of YSC as the editor in chief of the monthly newspaper "Yerajisht". From 2009 starts to write several articles on musical and cultural themes - analytical and informational articles; interviews with musicians and cultural figures; music books reviews, published in the monthly newspaper "Yerajisht", international science journal "Yerajshtakan Hayastan", weekly newspaper "TV Aliq", daily newspaper "Azg", and in the electronic media sources as well. From 2015 to 2017 worked at the radio company "VEM" as an operator of digitization of the music library; music editor; author of the texts of the broadcasting programs about classical and contemporary music. Since 2018 till today works at the house-museum of A. Spendiaryan as a scientific worker.
