Abstract

Musicologist, Founder-Editor-in-chief journal “Musical Armenia” Gohar Karlen Shagoyan. - “To the 100-yearanniversary of the foundation of Komitas National String Quartet”.The article is primarily written within the framework of Komitas Studies, focusing on the performing arts, as adedication to the 155th anniversary of Komitas. It is devoted to the history of the Komitas National String Quartet,the activities of its members, and its artistic directors, People’s Artists of the USSR Avet Gabrielyan and EduardTadevosyan. The article highlights the jubilee concerts held during the quartet's centennial year, the ceremonial eventat the Komitas Chamber Music House, which included the presentation of the quartet's cassette and commemorativebook, the awarding of the quartet's honorary medals to its musicians and public figures, and the official concert atthe Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The Komitas National String Quartet is presented as a bearer, preserver, andpromoter of national culture worldwide, particularly during its jubilee year.

Gohar Karlen Shagoyan, Yerevan State Conservatory

(born 29.04.1958. Yerevan)-musiologist, issuer, member of the union ofjournalists (1995), International Federationof Journalists (2023) and composers (1997) of RA. Aspirant of MSC afterTchaikovsky, (leading professor doctor of arts, M. E. Tarakanov and E.B. Dolinskaya 1988-1989, 2002-2004) 3 month’straining courses in MSC after P. Tchaikovsky(1987). Intensive courses of English in State University after Abovyan(1987).Has graduated from the department of music of YSC, (leading professor doctor of arts N.K. Takmizyan (1983)). Diplomathesis monograph “Gurgen Alemshakh” has received certificate of honor 1988). She took courses of Grabar (1979-1981) inYSU and YSC receiving certificate with distinction. In 1998 has established scientific journal “Musical Armenia”establisher-editor in chief. (Establisher, headmaster, professor, Rector A.B. Smbatyan). From 2000 continues her activity inYSC. In 1999 has established and lead the club of friends of the journal “Musical Armenia” in public beginnings. From2004 till now is the headmaster of publishing office of YSC (establishers-chairman of the publishing council, rector of YSCS. V. Sarajyan and Sh.). From 2004 collection of methodological articles, edition compiler and editor Sh. Chairman ofeditors boards. Rector, professor S. G. Sarajyan). From 2005 establisher and accountable for editions of monthly journal“Musician”. Teaching activities: 1985-1994 State University after Kh. Abovyan department of art education. Chair oftheory of music and methology of teaching, lecturer 1988-1990 Deputy Head of the Department. 28 author’s aricles and 34editorial works, in the Big Russian Encyclopedia, Moscow, "Armenian girl" in armnian ecyclopedias. Organizer of thearticle series about Armenia published in the Moscw Musical Academy journal (N 1, 2005). Shagoyan make openingspeeches in concerts, and reports in the international and republican conferences. Author of 2 books: “Sarajyan MusicSchool”, Yer., "Areresum-Ani”, 2002, "Yuri Davtyan. Pages from the Diary. A Century of History"., Yer., YSC PublishingHouse, 2024, 121 radiprograms from which 54 about Armenian composers, 5 author’s cycles (67 broadcastc first time inradio of RA, week of music of composers of Armenia" of 5 authors) international concerts in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2017,he founded the "Armenian Composer" publicistic magazine of the Composers’ Union of Armenia and since 2023, the"Creative Palette of Armenian Composers in the Modern World" periodical of scientific articles.
