Temporal Organization in the Music of W. Lutoslawski in the 1960s - 1990s: Nature, Means, Methods

The article examines the means and methods of temporal structuring in the music of W. Lutoslawski in the works of the 1960s - 1990s, created by using the technique of controlled aleatoric. It was revealed that three constructive principles function in a temporary organization: regularity, non-regularity, and irregularity, the interaction of which determines a number of features of the structuring of the temporary stream. Namely, in the music of the mature and late creative periods, temporal units of the regular type (bar), non-regular, irregular (chrono-structured) coexistence, and interact. Their polyphonic superposition determines the formation of poly-structural time units, the main property of which is polychronism. Chrono-structure, the nature of which is intonational, is predominant in temporal structuring as a temporal unit. This is an innovative property of temporal organization in the music of W. Lutoslawski.
