Abstract

The author of article addresses the work of one of the brightest, most talented and sought-after pianists of our time, a winner of many reputable international competitions, Sergey Babayan. Sergey Babayan, continuing the best performing traditions of the Armenian and Russian - Soviet piano schools, captivates the listener with the unique originality of his performing style, breathtaking impeccability of technique, subtle penetration into the style of the piece being performed, and the sophistication of musical reading. Today, the pianist performs in concerts with the leader conductors and symphony orchestras, on the best stages of the world. A brilliant pianist, an excellent ensemble player, Sergey Babayan is no less talented as teacher. Professor of the Juilliard School and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Sergey Babayan brought up more than one generation of concert pianists and laureates of international competitions.

Author Biography

Tamara Sargsyan, Gyumri Branch of Yerevan State Komitas Conservatory

Graduated from a theoretical brunch of Stepanakert Music Colledge after Sayat-Nova in 2020. She isworking in the Stepanakert State Chamber Choir "Mrakats" since 2016. A second-year student of the bachelor’s department of the “Theory and History of Art” department of the Gyumri branch of YSC named after Komitas (correspondence course). Works as a teacher of music theory disciplines at the Stepanakert music school after Komitas. During the years of study, she participated in student conferences of the YGC and the GF YGC.
