Abstract

This article is the continuation of the eponymous study by the prominent aesthete and musicologist Arshak Adamyan (originally written in 1952 and partially published in the journal "Musical Armenia," No. 2 (47), 2014, p. 37). In its time, this work was rejected for publication due to the prolonged persecution directed against the great scholar. The transcribed manuscript was preserved for a long period within the personal archive of V. V. Sargsyan. Published here are the second, third, and concluding chapters of the study.

Author Biography

Arshak Abgar Adamyan, Esthete, musicologist, Honored Art Worker of the Armenian SSR

About the author: ARSHAK ABGAR ADAMYAN (22. 04. 1884 in Baku - 17.02.1956 in Yerevan). He is a brother of an inventor and engineer of color television, light telegraphy Hovhannes and pianists Elena and Evgenya Admyans. A. was a good artist, musician, of ASSR artistic work (1945). He graduated from Saint Petersburg University Juridical faculty and the Berlin Shterni Conservatory. From 1924 to 1926 worked at Tbilisi and Leningrad, from 1943 in Yerevan. A. analyzed the process of artistic picturesque thinking, wrote reviews about various European art critics. He raised the individuality of old Armenian artistic mind in the work "Medieval Armenia artistic views ". He is an author of many articles and solo singings articles about art, M., 1961, articles about esthetic Yerevan., 1967.
