“Gevorg Budaghyan 120: the multiple career of the unsurpassed researcher of Spendiaryan's art”

Abstract

Scientific worker of House- museum after Alexander Spendiaryan, musicologist Hasmik Sargis Hambaryan. - “Gevorg Budaghyan 120: the multiple career of the unsurpassed researcher of Spendiaryan's art”. In this article, the author represents historical and analytical review of the universal and prolific activity of Georgy Budaghyan - People's Artist of the Armenian SSR, conductor, musicologist and publicist, professor and a unique researcher of Spendiaryan's art. Each sphere of the activity of G. Budaghhyan is learned separately in details: his way of life and of the becoming of the artist and scientist, the beginning of the activity in Moscow, and then his moving to the historical Motherland and serving the Armenian music. The parts of article represent the pedagogical, scientific and organizational activity of G. Budaghyan at the Yerevan State Conservatory; his way of conductor of symphonic concerts; Budaghyan as operatic conductor; history of the staging of the opera "Almast" under the baton of G. Budaghyan; the edition and premiere of the ballet "Khandut" based on the music of Spendiaryan; Budaghyan and the House-museum of A. Spendiaryan. The special attention is paid on Budaghyan's preparation for the publication of Spendiaryan's Complete Works: being the unsurpassed researcher of Spendiaryan's art, he exactly was able to realize this mission.
