Abstract

The article is dedicated to the memory of her parents, concertmaster Nelly Matevosyan and Tadevos Asmaryan. After graduating from the Piano Department, Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, N. Matevosyan and T. Asmaryan worked at their beloved Conservatory for many years. Nelly worked at Spendiaryan school as a teacher and concertmaster in cellists' and violinists' classes all her life, for 40 years, and as a concert-master of the Choir of Opera Theater for 39 years, T. Asmaryan changed workplaces very often. During his life, he worked in musical performances held in Spendiaryan, Sundukyan and Stanislavsky theaters. However, his most important workplace was the Etchmiadzin Seminary, where he worked for 20 years at the invitation of His Holiness Vazgen I. St. Komitas liturgy performed by the male choir of Saint Gayane Monastery was recorded on the CD "Melodiya". For T. Asmaryan the performance of Komitas Liturgy in 25 cities of Armenia, Tbilisi and France became the fulfillment of his main life mission.

Natalya Tadevos Asmaryan, Yerevan Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan

Graduated from Music School after A. Spendiaryan (pedagogue N. Matevosyan). In 1983 she graduated from Piano Department of Music College named after R. Melikyan (pedagogue M. Aristakesyan) with honors, in 1983 she entered Yerevan Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan by competition, first as a choir actress and since 1986 she has worked as a prompter in Italian operas. In 1988 she entered Faculty of Theater Studies at Yerevan State Art and Theater Institute (class of Prof. Henrik Hovhannisyan). For over 10 years of work at the National Opera House she held the position of the museum's archive manager, as well as worked as a prompter, systematized the archive, compiled a detailed list of all performances from 1993, the day the theater was founded, to the present day. She was engaged in teaching activities at the college of the Choral Society and at the Department of Theater Studies at the Art and Theater Institute. Since 1993, N. Asmaryan 's papers have been published in the Republican press ("Republic of Armenia", "Golos Armenii", "TV Channel", "Yeter", "Lragir", "Azg", "Yerazhisht"), she has been collaborating with the magazine "Musical Armenia" since its establishment, and led the column "Cultural Chronicle" in the newspaper "Republic of Armenia". Since 2015, she has been the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Tbilisians".
